Default SolidWorks to Gambit

I am having problems importing SolidWorks (2005) geometry into Gambit.

I've tried .Acis as suggested in the help files but this causes the following error 'ERROR:ACIS ERROR 5005:SAVE FILE IS FROM A LATTER VERSION OF ACIS'. (I assume this means I need to save the file in an earlier format but how?).

Following this I tried to import STEP, Parasolid and IGES files from SolidWorks and Pro-E none of which work to produce a 'real' geometry.

Any help would be appreciated.
