Temperature instability with evaporating droplets.

Hi guys,

I have been attempting to model a recirculating fluidised bed with fuel droplet injection, ie eularian two phase model with a granular phase plus DPM injections of evaporating droplets.

The model works well with the droplets evaporating and absorbing the latent heat from the primary phase. However all of a sudden the temperature profile will set to a constant value, usually 300K over the entire domain despite the fact that each inlet is at a different temperature.

I have no idea what is causing this to occur or how it can be remedied. Any advice you may have will be much appreciated.

Best regards,

Owen
