Pressure drop
Hi I am simulating the flow(2D) in a fin and tube heat exchanger. (The geometry consists of a long rectangular tube with three rows of cyllinders placed perpendicular to the flow) I want to calculate the pressure drop between two surfaces. Can someone tell me , how Fluent calculates the pressures. I have gone through the User's guide and i found that fluent applies some corrections in calculating the pressures.(Ptot.=Pop.+Pgauge) I am using incompressible flows. So can anyone tell me how Fluent calculates the pressures.
thank u |
Re: Pressure drop
Madhu,
In Fluent, static pressure is your local pressure and operating pressure you have to specify in the fluent panel. Don't get confused with static head, static pressure those are completely two different parameters in fluent.Hope it clears you. |
Re: Pressure drop
Hi
I would like to know how the pressure is calculated in FLUENT...i mena which formulas FLUEN uses to do this thanks in advance |
Re: Pressure drop
Fluent offers different pressure-Velocity coupling techniques like SIMPLE,SIMPLEC,PISO to calculate local pressure (Static Pressure).
