Meshing a domain with very small slit using Gambit

Dear All,

I am trying to generate 2-D mesh for a 270 semi-circle. There is a very thin rectangular object inside the semi-cirlce. Please read the journal file at the end of the message.

One solution is to decompose the whole domain into several sub-domains, and generate meshes for the sub-domains. Is there any simple method to solve the problem? Since my ultimate goal is to generate 3-D mesh.

Best regards.

Rucy
