My problem is that I'm trying to model the flapping wings of an ornithopter (ie flapping wing model aeroplane). The ornithopter wings consist of a leading-edge spar which flaps up and down, attached to which is a flexible wing surface. The wing surface deforms due to the aerodynamic forces either side of it.

I want to model this in Fluent, but I don't know how.

The difficulty is, firstly getting the thing to flap, and secondly, getting the wing to deform.

I'm only a poor student with no hope in getting this show on the road without help.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers.

the thing to flap is realized by means of DEFINE_CG_MOTION the wing to deform is by using DEFINZE_GEOM

Thanks.

Actually, scrap that, I think you meant DEFINE_GEOM.

Thanks for your help, much appreciated!
