HOW to GET FLUCTUATING VELOCITY COMPONENT at FLUEN

Hi everybody;

I am currently using FLUENT and I am waiting an explanation on fluctuating velocity. I have been studying on a jet flow in crossflow. My turbulence model is Realizable k-epsilon. After the unsteady solution I want to get the fluctuating velocity components for having turbulence quantity. If anybody could gave me any info on the subject I would be very happy.

Any answer will be appreciated. Thanks

Re: HOW to GET FLUCTUATING VELOCITY COMPONENT at F

Hi,

tke: turbulent kinetic energy

since tke = 0.5 * ( (u')^2 + (v')^2 + (w')^2 )

eddy viscosity models assume isotropy of stresses, so u=v=w ;

then sqrt( 2/3 tke ) is ~ u'
