DPM diameter mass distribution
Is would like to use the Rosin-Rammler distribution for a solid cone injection point. I try to check the size-mass distribution from a DPM sample on a plane in the geometry (from the .dpm file that is created). I do this with the diameter-mass flow information in this file. However, I do not find the distribution specified. Instead I get a uniform distribution of mass. Does anybody have suggestions?

Perhaps this thread can shed some light?

Re: DPM diameter mass distribution
Thanks HS for pointing me out. This is interesting information, but it appears that this person finally found that the mass distribution did correspond to the R-R distribution (he found the problem for the number distribution). I find the effect both in the number and the mass distribution: both are uniform.

Re: DPM diameter mass distribution
Check out the mass flow represented by each diameter.

Re: DPM diameter mass distribution
That's what I did - create a .dpm file with diameter and mass flow for each particle. Next, create bins with diameter ranges and calculate the summed mass flow for each bin. This gives me a uniform distribution.
