Fluent-Abaqus FSI

I am working with Fluent, and want to connect it to Abaqus or ANSYS for fluid-structure interaction. I have ready access to ANSYS and I'm more familiar with it, but it's pretty clear I'd need MpCCI, which I don't have yet. Abaqus I could get, but I haven't ever used it before.
Do I need an MpCCI license to connect Abaqus and Fluent, or is it somehow included now that the two companies have their "strategic partnership?" Depending on if I need MpCCI will help determine which program I use. Thanks for any help you can give. Greg Z. |

For abaqus you need MPCCI and you should ask for a limited-time licence I suppose. Anyway the question is how to interface a structural code to a CFD code with non-coincident discretization. You can write everything on your own and conncet Ansys, if you prefer, to Fluent. It's not so complicated. I work in aeroelasticity field. So if you need any idea about this topic i cand send you one of my paper dealing with FSI with Fluent. Luca
