Buoyancy effects with species transport models
I'm trying to simulate an experiment in which a foreign gas (argon) is pumped into a cavity of air - this is used to give a density difference. The entire cavity is rotating on the rim of a disc in order to investigate buoyancy effects. I am trying to simulate this by use of the non-reacting species transport model in FLUENT 6.1. What concerns me though is that the mixing model seems to have been developed for reactions/combustion. Can anyone tell me if FLUENT is up to the task of predicting the buoyancy effects that I hope to see?
