Dear Friends, I use FLUENT to simulate a fluidized bed dryer. Mixture and Eulerian multiphase flow can't simulate mass transfer due to evaporation of solvent(liquid phase). Now i want to use DPM which can simulate evaporation and mass transfer. But, i have a problem: i want to simulate a batch type of fluidized bed not continuous fluidized bed. it means i shold not use injection, i have to define volume fraction of particles (wet particles: solid particle+humidity) in bottom of the bed. now, is it possible?how can i do that? any alternative do u recommend? any help will be appreciated. regards masood
