opening fluent data files in windows

hello
how do i open a .dat file in notepad? When i tried to open it, it gives me a lot of scrambled letters symbols and words. How to display it properly? thanks a lot, julie |

It is normal because it is a binary file not an ASCII file.

when you write a .dat file, unselect the binary option.
