user-defined functions

Dear Fluent Users,

I am PhD student and I am using Fluent in the numerical part of my PhD.I am trying to solve flow field around roof models with different slopes immersed ABL in 2D. I am trying to give inlet_velocity,turb. kinetic energy and dissipation rate profiles with udf.But I have a problem. I want to give my experimental profiles with udf as inlet boundary conditions.I don't want to use standard udf approaches given with formulas (power law, friction velocity, wall shear ect.)Because, this standard profiles don't fit with exp. data. is it possible to read these exp. data into udf code? and is it possible to appoint these data to F_PROFILE macro without using loop? Can I use this kind of udf code in the Fluent? Can you help me for this problem, I would be very happy. Best regards

Hi Yucel,

Please look at Solution 1338 on the Fluent User Services Center. It is an example of using experimental data for viscosity, but should be easily adapted for your purpose.

John
