injection not found in domain error

hi all,

I have initialized some particles using a udf on a surface in my domain. I get error while running fluent:

warning, injection 10 not found in domain -9.2e-3, 0.0, 3.27e-3 warning, injection 15 not found in domain -5.87e-3, 0.0, -2.1e-3 ........ several streams are not found in domain although the x, y, z coordinates it is mentioning for such streams lie well within my domain. These warning messages are followed by :

Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: ()

Can anyone shed some light on this ???/

Regards, San

Re: injection not found in domain error

hi,

I think I have figured out the problem. I had defined the surface at y=0 in gambit, but in fluent the mesh shows domain as not y=0, but rather a very small number i.e 10^-16, so if i put the particle positions as a very small number rather than zero, in my UDF, it works fine.

Thanks San
