about the mixture model and cavitation model

hello ,evergy one, i use the cavitation model to think about the cavity. but it is usually donot convergency. and i set the vaporization pressure 3650pa,but the fluent tut-files 13 set it 80000pa,why? hope for your help!

Re: about the mixture model and cavitation model

Hi!

I used the cavitation model (Fluent 6.1.18) a while ago. It worked ok then but a lot of "tricks" had to be used. By "tricks" I mean, appropriate underrelaxation, slow approach to the desired operating point (decreasing the system pressure in steps) etc. I also only managed to perform an unsteady simulation. I published a few papers on the subject - one was in Fluent news 2004 I think. If you want the others send me an e-mail.

Best regards MATEUS
