Verifying fan test results with CFD

I am researching a new type of fan in an inline casing. I have all my experimental results, with the fan working at both high static pressure and high volume flow. I have created the fan curve and now want to model the same fan in Fluent and test how accurately the CFD results can match the experimental ones.

I am still learning FLUENT and my question is regarding the computational domain. I have created the model of the fan in SolidWorks and imported as a STEP file and everything looks good. Is my computational domain exactly the same size and shape as the inline casing surrounding my fan? How do I resolve the wall effects, as any examples I have done to date, have a large domain compared to the geometry, so the wall effects are negligible.

Thanks in advance for assistance with this question.
