Dynamic mesh

Hello to all,

I have a problem: I'm using the dynamic mesh technique with a profile; when I say to Fluent to iterate, the following message appears me:

WARNING: non-positive volumes exist. Error: Update-Dynamic-Mesh failed. Negative cell volume detected. Error Object: ()

what means? someone can help me? Thanks

Re: Dynamic mesh

How did you generate your mesh?

Did you use Gambit? or a third party mesher?

Re: Dynamic mesh

Ciao Giuseppe, are you running an unsteady analysis, right? Unfortuantely Fluent dynamic mesh algorithm is not very robust. Try lowering time-step and raising spring-iteration. Luca

Amico Giuseppe, Did you get it to work? I've run into that problem too. I know it's painful. What I found is that you need to move the boundary in steps that are shorter than the distance between 2 nodes, try half of the distance between 2 nodes. Let me know what you found. Ciao ragazzo Javier
