turbulent viscosity limited to ...???

Hello,

I am trying to simulate an axisymmetric body with an unstructured mesh (3d,coupled imp, S-A). Fluent works with 1000 iterations and after 165 iterations, the text says : "turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.e+05 in (n+1) cells" The simulation continues with this phrase for each iteration

Do you think that's modified the results of my simulation?

Thank you for your help...

Alexandre.

This has been discussed in detail on this forum. Basically comes down to Boundary conditions or mesh. In my experience it's usually the mesh. Do a search of the forum ("turbulent viscosity ratio" or "TVR") for more details.

Good luck, Jason

One wAy to handle this problem is by refining the grid at boundaries by hanging node method in Flunet i.e. adaptive boundary gradients with respect to y+ and reduce the Y+ value to half after every 100 or 200 iterations
