In gambit, the coordinate system used is cartesian and there is no way to have a cylindrical coordinate system.
So it wouldn't be possible to create a helical ribbon. |

Look into Gambit modeling guide chapter 2. That should help you to create your geometry. Else you can model it using some packages like Solidworks or ProE and then import it into Gambit.
