Hi,
can I assume convergence if the continuity residual does not reach 10^-3 but reaches about 10^-2 and keeps constant for more than 1000 iterations, and all other residuals are below the convergence criterion? thanks |

It depends in your case as allways, but not reachen the "magical" threshold of 1e-3 is a bad simptom.
Create another variables of your flow in your model and check the mass-weighted average of some quantity, like velocity magnitud at any outlet, or create a point and check in it the vertex average of the turbulence intensity(for example): if these parameters are constant while iterating, you have reached the convergence. |
