Forcing a Grid

I want to check the flow around a cylinder for the case of a cartesian mesh around the cylinder. Is it possible to force fluent to generate cartesian mesh around the cylinder. It does not matter if the cells are degenerate.I tried to generate the mesh and it generates a complex unstructured mesh.Is there a way to force a structured mesh around the cylinder.

Re: Forcing a Grid

yes. it is easy . in fact very easy................

just divide the whole domain into 2 or 4 parts and make the one vertex of each face as side and force the map mesh

Re: Forcing a Grid

even you can split the circumference of cylinder in to four parts and u can mesh outer domain as you want
