3d anemometer velocity calculation

I like to get help regarding a college project that i need to finish quickly the model is a 3d anemometer with 9 prongs at the tip of prongs i need to construct 9 lines and calculate avergae velocity along these lines but problem is under gambit when i construct and mesh these lines then export them to fluent they dont get exported and fluent says lines dont contain any valid entity and they are not exported, i tried to go to fluent and use surface menu then use line command then i monitored velocity on these lines but i need average velocity components x,y,z along these lines so i tried integral but i get zero along the lines so i tried sum but i get huge values since i only have ux=10 m/s but with sum monitoring i get some thing in the 1000 magnitude and also from fluent help files i get that lines and rakes for monitoring particles or windtunnel particle monitoring so my question is first how to export these lines to fluent from gambit or construct them in fluent then how to calculate the average velocities along these lines (also how to assign points between lines) and thanks for any help
