conduction happens in two types of materials

i have a layer of deposition on the surface of the wall, so I have to deal with two adjacent solid zones with different materials. Can anyone tell me what to do with the contact surface of the two materials? should i define it as a wall? Thanks in advance.

Defining a wall will be the easiest way, particularly if the deposition thickness is small compared to the wall thicknesses.

I don't think you want to define the interface as wall. If you define it as wall you'll have to specify a boundary condition. Do you know the boundary condition at the interface?
