So How can I do that when I export or save in .igs? Which file format can I choose? Because I cannot find any item/way so that I can save in .igs directly in ActoCad 2006.
Do I need some program to convert the file to igs? Once more, thanks! |
Re: Help!!!! Can gambit read the file from AutoCad
Export as " *.sat" and import into GAMBIT In AUTOCAD: Export...->Filetype: ACIS(sat)
But be careful to correct and clean your model in GAMBIT. |

philipov is correct. In AutoCAD you have to define a Region (Draw -> Region) previous to the .sat export. This Region definition will create a 2D face (that it is the fluid region). Then, export (File->Export...) as .sat file and then import it in Gambit as ACIS.

Remember that you can only export as a *.sat file if you have volumes in your ACAD layout. Said in another way the acis exporting will only export volumes and leave out anything else!
As some has said, be carefull with what you get. Clean it up, corners may consist of several vertices and son on. Check it. This is my experience.. |
