GAMBIT Error: Cannot open connect stream

Hi,

I am having problems with Gambit, as it does not want to start. I installed exceed and Gambit (dowloaded from the Fluent user service centre), but I get this error message when I try to load Gambit: "Cannot open connect stream TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr): tnamebysocket()failed TRANS(SocketINETConnect): TRANS(SocketINETGetAddr) () failed TRANS(Open): transport failed for tcp/DLGFNTK0J:0 Unable to open display"

Does anyone understand what that means?

Yes, Your support engineer does

try disabling any firewall or antivirus on your computer.Some times firewall stops the socket created by exceed for the gambit

Hi, To make thing simple, I suggest you uninstall exeed and mabit. and then re-install them by the order: exceed and gambit. Maybe, it is ok.

Thank you Jun and Khanjagr for your help.

I didn't have all the administrator rights, so some features were not installed the first time. With the total administrator rights, I re-installed Exceed and now it works just fine!
