high speed flow with air dissociation
Does anyone could give me some info about the Fluent capability to simulate hypersonic flows (mach > 5) with chemical reactions?
In particular is there any conflict using compressible ideal gas with finite-rate model (Arrhenius law-Kinetic theory) for the dissociation phenomena?
Is it correct to implement Pressure far-field boundary with compressible ideal gas and finite rate model?
Any suggestion will be really appreciated!
Re: high speed flow with air dissociation
there is no doubt...fluent can solve it (Fluent does not have mach number limitation)...but at higher mach numbers ideal gas law does not hold good... and you have to incorporate air chemistry as you have mentioned..in fluent bechmarks you can find the hypersonic problem...
