I think the problem is caused by the uncompatibility of bash.

I saw same error on SUSE 10.1 and no error on SUSE 10.0.

SUSE 10.0 : GNU bash, version 3.00.16(1)-release (i586-suse-linux)

SUSE 10.1 : GNU bash, version 3.1.16(1)-release (i586-suse-linux)

And I've installed bash-3.0 to SUSE 10.1 and run like ~$ /ttt/bin/bash-3.0 /opt/Fluent.Inc/bin/fluent 3d and the problem diappeared.
