Problem meshing very thin pipe

Hi,

For research I need to design a very easy rectangular geometry; long but very thin pipe with dimensions ± 1.0m (long) x 39xe-5m (diameter.)I am doing this in 2D axi-symetric. The geometry I'm meshing in Gambit. I cannot succeed in making a rectangular mesh in the entrance/exit zone of the pipe. Regardless of the mesh settings; the first 5 or 6 grids are 'wavy'. Even when making the grid exact multiples of the lenght, this problem persist. This 'wavy' entrance zone messes the whole thing up.

It would be very appreciated to get an answere of this isue.

With regards, B.Hemmen

try to use the boundary layer grid option

Sorry, for the late response, but we have been using the bounary layer Option and also without. In either case, we get a very skewed mesh. The problem still exists.
