Realistic modeling of trash fire (which to use?)
All,
I'm modeling a small fire from a trash basket in a 3-D hall. The experimental comparison is done by a heptane burner of diameter 1.16 m. I know the heat release rate from experiments but I don't know the temperature of the issuing flame. Now, do I use heat and mass source (of CO2) OR is it better to use a velocity inlet while deleting the heat source and setting the temperature that of the "adiabatic flame temperature" ?. Is it also realistic to use a velocity inlet (with temperature 300K) combined with a heat source from the fluid region describing fire? Any IDEAS? Cheers, P.S. No need to use a combustion model ! |
