CPUS: which CPU is better?

I'm willing to know which CPU is better for fluent 6.2.

Between an Athlon 64 3500+ single core and a 4200+ dual core, both running at 2,2 ghz, is there going to be a great difference between them?

How about memory, is there a great difference from 1 to 2 to 4 gb?

thanks in advance

There will be a great advantage to the dual-core CPU, if you have the license to run in parallel. Size of memory depends on the type of flow you are hoping to solve, but get at least 4 GB.

Re: CPUS: which CPU is better?

Definitely in XP Pro. But the crucial thing is the parallel license from Fluent.
