How to do boundary layer meshing of a 3D diffuser

How to do boundary layer meshing of a 3D diffuser using gambit.which face should be choosen to start the boundary layer meshing thanks

hi

i think u need the bdry layers only when u define a face with a wall boundary condition. so start the bdry layer from a walll bdry and keep in mind that the mesh shud always be perpendicular or normal to the face. hope this helps. regards

thanks for ur response I try to create mesh bdry layer along the conical face using following parameters in gambit first layer- .001 first row(a)-5.18e-5 growth factor-1.2 total depth.-0013 no. of rows-10 Internal countinity- yes algorith-uniform trans. pattern- 1:1 trans row- 0 Face- conical face of the diffuser

But i get a trianglular bdry layer mesh at each of plane faces and nothing along conical face.

plz, explain the reason and solution.
