You can calculate the projected area of any surface in a 3D model by using >Report>Projected Areas. Select the surface and the projection axis. This will calculate the area of any complex surface viewed normal to a plane - not the geometric area unless the surface is lying directly on a plane e.g xy. You also need to make sure the minimum feature size option is set correctly, other wise the calculation will miss out any geometric features below this threshold.

My question: I want to caculate part of the geometry's area(not the whole,such as a missle),to get the normal force coeffcient and the center of pressure.(I use an integral method to deal with this problem.)

SOME face areas of my resultsare different from the Fluent results!I don't know why.Plerse give me some advice!Thanks a lot!

I use the operation below:

Report>Surface Integrals>Area,choose the wall type surface. Then I find area of some surfaces differs with my integral results!
