VOF simulation free surface caused by gas inject

hi,my friends

i have read a article about the vof simualtion, the case is there is a ladle full of water, and behind there is xoygen lance ,the problem is simualtion the free surface caused by oxygen lance injection. how to set the interface of gas and liquid .

thank you for your advice

i have the same probleme between vap/liq interface in bubble cavitation collapse?!!!!

I dont really understand what is your problem, but if you wana simulate a gas entrainment on the liquid surface just use initialise patch. Good luck.

the problem is in the clinder ladle full of water(half height),and above the water ,in the center of the ladle there lied an laval nozzle which spray oxygen and so on, the spray gas will inject into water and caused the water move, how to simulate this case the free surface is cared for ,and after patch ,it is difficult to converge, how to solve. thank your advice.

Definietly some difficulty in getting convergence. In the initial stage try small time step and few iteration/time step. Later on adjust it to be much higher and more time step to get convergence every time step.
