for MS-Windows: which is the fastest processor?

Hi, i want to buy a new computer. I have one single processor licence for fluent

Linux is not allowed in our company also no AMD because our company buys only computers from Dell or do they sell also AMD - i think no?!?.

What kind of processor should i buy (only 64 bit because i need 6 GB RAM)

What is faster 1 P4 or 1 Xeon double core (1 licence)?

Re: for MS-Windows: which is the fastest processor

I'm using two processor of Xeon 3.8Ghz dual core and 4GB ram in my workstation. I found that it almost similar performance (in iteration speed) with my laptop of 1GB ram & 2Ghz centrino mobile technology processor. Although the CPU utilisation shows only 25% in workstation compare to 100% in laptop. I've work with HP Xeon dual core workstation also sometime ago and it not any faster. I think with parallel processing will be faster either with cluster or dual cpu machine, but I didn't have fluent parallel so I coudn't try them.

With Windows 64 bit processor does not help, as win XP64 is not supported
