Initialization Problem...Please Help!!!
Hey all, I'm trying to model diffusion throught two zones with different properties. One problem Im having is initializing the concentrations differently for the different zones. I dont understand how the DEFINE_INIT macro works. How do I set up the loops over zones and cells to isolate each species?? Is this how the main logic of this macro works? PLEEASE HELP!!! Cheers

Re: Initialization Problem...Please Help!!!
have you tried using solve->initilise->patch

I think that will work. Thanks for the advice!

OK I have gotten to the patch part, but now Fluent won't allow me to define the concentrations differently for my 2 zones. Once I "patch" a value in one zone, it automatically does it for the other zone. Do you know how to fix this? Cheers

I'm not sure how its patching zones that you are not selecting. Try initilising the two concentrations to zero over the whole domain and then patch them to values in zones.
you can also setup user defined patching zones called registers using the adapt->region panel |
