CFD of biogas mixture
Hi, I am currently doing master's thesis on CFD of biomass mixing in a biogas fermenter using Fluent. During initial phase, we have considered single phase fluid system since no data for viscosity, particle size distribution, gas content in fermenter is available. I would like to have some guideline as to how to proceed in this case to make the system more real(by introducing second phase). If anybody has already done work on such system, that experience and the guidelines will be invaluable for me.
Thanx, Sachin |
Re: CFD of biogas mixture
You choose the wrong software for your thesis, check the papers from this web-site and their software:
http://www.reaction-eng.com/ It is better. |
Re: CFD of biogas mixture
I don't think so. I have some reference papers with me in which fluent has been used for solid-liquid systems. Only the difference is that mine one is more complex and is being never dealt with before.

Re: CFD of biogas mixture
it has never been done before with fluent, I think chemkin or www.reaction-eng.com did it for US ethanol plants, try to contact them to confirm. You won't get anywhere with fluent
