where is the cavitation model
 
after a few months of not using fluent, I cannot find the cavitation model in the current version of 6.2.16. is it deleted?

It is under phases - interaction - mass...

What are you working on? I did some nice simulations of cavitation (Fluent News - Fall 2004). If you need any help please contact me!

Thank you very much, Mateus. I have read your article in the Fluent News fall. You did do a very nice job. What I am doing is about a cavitation in a nozzle water jet as well as the erosion. We may shire a lot about this topic later. I found some difference in running the cavitation model under the "interaction - mass" which causes convergence difficulty. I remember the cavitation model is under the "multiphase" in the previous versions (6.1.22 or 6.0). In the older version, I need to first run a single phase model to get the pressure and velocity data before turn on the cavitation model. Your 2004 fall article must have used the older version of fluent, do you need to first run a single phase model?

In the current version, I can not find anything about the cavitation in the "user's guide". So I am not sure if the model under the "interaction-mass" is the same as that under the "multiphase" one. Do you know this?

From the manual for the older version, I found that the method for solving the Rayleigh-Plesset equation was not good. I a going to write an article to discuss it. Do you know that in the new version they still use the equation (dR/dt)^2 = 2/3*(pv-pl) ?
