Macroscopic Particle Model

Fluent website tells a lot about Macroscopic Particle Model (MPM) developed by Madhusudan Agarwal and Andre Bekker, has anyone tried or used it? Is anyone familiar to developing such UDF's? I am solving for hydrodynamic behavior of a solid sphere in a pipe. The size of sphere spans several computational cells hence discrete phase modeling cannot be used in this case. Please help im really stuck !!

Sincere Regards
