custom field function

hello everyone

this is my problem, I am trying that my velocity inlet will be not a constant value all long the pipe; and for that I am using the costum field function. but when I do the iterate fluent gives me an error: "divergence detected in AMG solver: temperature"

thus anyone knows how to solve it?

thanks

Raquel

Re: custom field function

Custom Field Functions don't modify boundary conditions. You either have to define a profile or write a UDF.

Also, divergence can be due to a lot of things. Boundary Conditions, mesh, geometry, solver settings... Check your mesh and make sure you're using the proper models for whatever you're trying to analyze. Also, look at the diverged solution and try to see what the problem is that caused it to diverge.

Good luck, Jason
