Combustion 2d or 3d????

Hello all,

I am modelling a combustion problem in an axis symetrical burner/furnace system. I am using the speicies combustion model. I was wondering if there are any differences in modelling the geometry in 2D or 3D. I know for a normal flow/heat transfer situation I'd use a 2D model but I am unsure whether modelling in 2D is effective when running a combustion model.

Thanks, Lee
