cycle average temp

hi

I am doing cfd analysis of a pulse tube refriegaror. In this project their is cylinder piston arangement and other parts are their. the piston vecocity is given by

V=.09 COS(213t)

their is a change in temp in different part as simulation going on.

how to got the graph between cyle average temp ~ time ? not static ~time

please reply

Hi Ammi, This is not striaght forward to accomplish using Fluent alone. The way I would recommend working around this is to use surface monitors. Define a monitor at the surface where you would like the average temperature. (Solve--> Surface Monitors). Then go on to define the Y-axis as "Flow time"

Doing the above will record your time varying data into a monitor file. At the end of your simulation you can use Matlab, Excel or techplot to plot your results!

Good luck, Phil
