use custom field functions in define menu; you define Brinkman number using the buttons for operators and variables from the adjacent list of variables.

First, read the help manual for modeling heat transfer.

Bri(n)kman number is used to assess importance of viscous heating of a fluid (which may also be caused by wall conduction). So, it will be ususally important only for viscous fluids like polymers. It can also be important in compressible flows. It is important when it exceeds or equals unity. So, please check this first.

Then if it necessary to include it, enable viscous heating option if you are using segregated solver. If you need to use coupled solver, then viscous dissipation is included by default.

Swarup.

Hi Swarup I simulation the dimensionless microchannel, in the Temperature constant boundary condition in the heating the fluid, 2 problems occur: 1- in the heating Tw>Te But the dimensionless temperature of wall (tetta-w) become zero and dimensionless temperature of inlet (tetta-e) become one its mean that

2-in heating Brinkman Number is negative and in cooling the Brinkman Number is positive, how effect the amount of Brinkman Number in simulation dimensionless of heating
