cylindrical coordinate

hi

i am doing a simulation of 2d axisymetric problem(flow through complicated pipe ).i want to draw it cylindrical coordinate sysyem(r,z).but gambit shows X , Y , Z Coordinate . how to do in cylindrical co ordinate , will it show r, z axis ? i am new to fluent . please reply soon

Re: cylindrical coordinate

Hi, At the top right corner, there is a Tools command button. Click on this to open up the coordinate systems. You can create and apply cylindrical systems if you need.

Re: cylindrical coordinate

i opened it and changed the co ordinated system to cylindrical . but i am geting width as height as input not z, r to create a face in 2d . when i summerise the coordinate ststem i got x axis(1 0 0) y axis (0 1 0) z axis (0 0 1 ) is it right for cylindrical co ordinate ?

then what get change ? same input as cartsian coordinate ????? please reply

Re: cylindrical coordinate

According to the support people of Fluent. I was told that we can draw in any coordinates in Gambit. But when we export it to fluent it automatically gets converted into Cartesian Coordinates.
