Car aerodynamics simulation (Pls help, urgent)!

Hello, may i have somebody who had done simulation on car aerodynamics using fluent,Gambitor Tgrid to give me a helping hand? I am doing car aerodynamic simulation for my undergraduate thesis. How to build a boundary layer around the car using Gambit or Tgrid? I had try to do this stuff, but Gambit show "Error:Boundary layer tempBL, cannot be attached to the combination face.xx edge.xx,because it conflicts with an existing mesh on edge.xx:.Before building the boundary layer,do i need to calculate the boundary layer or just roughly assmume a thickness for the layer ? If yes, what is the formula for the calculation? And is it necessary and what is the significant to build this boundary layer for simulation?

Thanks lot!!

I'd advise you to build a normal grid completing your y+ requirements. I've done aerodynamic simulations and never used the BL building proposed by Gambit.

Perhaps I'm wrong

Good luck
