Obtaining Nu result from internal fin channel

I got a problem obtaining Nusselt number data from an internal fin channel...i have used line and rake surface (outer surface) to obtained the data from a 3D rectangular channel...however the results that i have obtained does not coincide with the theory or a specific trend...i am not sure whether the approach that i am using is right...i hope some of u could share some light to this problem...cheers

Nu=fn(h)

Check heat transfer coefficient that you are using. If I am right, there should be different heat transfer coefficient in FLUENT, such as surface or local heat transfer coefficient.

Most of theories use heat transfer cofficent which is based on bulk heat transfer coefficient.

Thank you lee for u r quick reply..the heat transfer coefficient that is specify in fluent is surface heat transfer coefficient..which has the formula of

heff=q/(Twall-Tref)

1) What my concern is the Twall temperature that Fluent is picking...it is corresponding to each wall node temperature in the line/rake surface that i have specify?

2) Can surface integral option be used for a line/rake surface?
