How can I define a mesh for a spring??
Dear Gambit user,
I am modelling a swirling pipe "spring" in soil. Any ideas in how I can define my mesh at the pipe walls. For a straight pipe I just added vertices to define the CSA of the pipe in soil and then swept this face along an axis to create a volume. I then meshed both end faces of the pipe by creating edges in the pipe to distribute nodes along them to define a better mesh at the pipe wall. I cooper meshed the volume by using either face as a source face How can I do this for a swirling pipe in a square of soil that I import from PRO Engineer using an IGES file??
