unrealistic temperatures

Hi All I am trying to solve a transient heat conduction problem in FLUENT.The mesh quality is 0.89 and I have 0.2% of cells between 0.6-0.89. I am facing problems of unrealistic temperatures. The temperatures hit their user specified maximum and minimum limits and the solution diverges. Can it be because of the mesh quality. Is there someway to overcome this in FLUENT rather than remeshing the domain. Thanks Sudipto

Re: unrealistic temperatures

0.89 and better should be no problem for heat conductivity calculations. What can cause problems is the bc - heatflux. But itīs hard to say without knowing more.

Re: unrealistic temperatures

I have the same problem with my boiling process. Vapour realise during boiling proces reach always maximum or minimum temperatures allowed by Fluent (1 or 5000 K for example). I think that if Gernot suggestion is ok so it should work with my problem too. I will check it and let you know guys.

Re: unrealistic temperatures

in BC you can set what you want : temperature or heat flux or convection, radiation ... Is there a way to set up two of them for one boundry? or only one : temperature or heat flux for example???
