Fan Computations
Hi,
I have been running MRF computations of a 2-bladed fan in a duct. The fluid is air. The Mach numbers relative to the blade are significant (i.e. 0.5-0.6) only in a small region in the vicinity of the blade tip. I am unsure as to whether to specify constant density or ideal-gas model in the "Materials" menu. Will selecting ideal gas compromise the accuracy in the regions (which form the bulk of the computational domain) of low Mach numbers? Basically I would like to know which would be the more accurate of the two options: constant density or ideal gas? Looking forward to advice. Thanks in advance K I Chan |
