Default VOF and moving meshes

Having some trouble with an unsteady VOF simulation that has part of the mesh rotating. Convergence is good (within 20 iterations per timestep) but at some point it crashes with am error message indicating negative volume in one of the cells. Have run a single phase sim on the same grid and it works perfectly without any cells reporting negative volumes. Any issues I should be aware of? Grid is relatively simple as well.
