HELP PLEASE ! Forced oscillation

Hi,

I am trying to model a forced oscillation of a cylinder in still water. Does anyone know how to do it? I got the model and meshing for the cylinder and everything, but just dont know how to apply a force to the cylinder so that it will oscillates, do we have to use dynamic mesh?

Please help, really appreciates it!

Thanks, Ken

Re: HELP PLEASE ! Forced oscillation

Most likely you will have to resort to using Dynamic Mesh and prescribed a UDF for the frequency and amplitude of the oscillations. By the way, have you ever modelled a freely vibrating cylinder? My project is about teh same sort of thngs. Feel free to discuss.
