How to model a long tube embedded in the earth?

Hi there,

I want to model a very long tube which is embedded into the earth. There is fluid inside. The length maybe 500 ft. I want to know parameter changes with the depth. Does anyone know how to model it? The length/diameter is too large, I dont know how to solve this problem in Fluent. Thanks.

Hi

Scale the problem down with operating figures (e.g. Re, deltap/L). At the end you should have a modle with physical and geometric alikeness. The smaller model can be simulated in fluent
